ResumeScanner ("we", "our", the "Service") is a free, no-sign-up tool that analyzes text you provide — resume content, job descriptions, and cover letter inputs — to generate ATS insights and writing suggestions. This policy explains what we process and how.

What we process

Resume text, job description text, keyword inputs, and the outputs our system generates from them. Because no account or sign-up is required, we do not collect names, email addresses, or passwords, and we do not build user profiles.

How your data is used

The text you submit is used solely to produce your scan results: match score, keyword gap analysis, formatting checks, AI suggestions, and generated cover letters. Submitted text is processed transiently for your session and is not sold or shared for advertising purposes.

AI processing

Analysis and content generation are performed using third-party AI model providers acting as processors for this Service. Your submitted text is transmitted to these providers to generate results and is subject to their processing terms.

Retention

Scan inputs are held in short-lived session storage to complete your request (for example, so a cover letter can be generated from the same scan) and expire automatically. We do not maintain a permanent database of resumes.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential browser storage for UI state (such as cookie consent), a short-lived session cookie for generation flows, and Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage. Analytics data is not linked to the content of your resume.

Your responsibility

Please avoid submitting confidential, sensitive, or regulated personal information (such as government ID numbers or health data) — none of it is needed for an accurate scan.
